About the business
4Dx Limited, is a medical technology start-up, founded in Melbourne to commercialise patented lung imaging technology. Our first target jurisdiction is the USA. 4Dx has been in operation for 5 years, and is a public unlisted company, working towards an IPO listing. 4Dx's Melbourne office is home to its core R&D function, administrative and operational hub. The 4Dx Group has also recently opened an office in Los Angeles providing its sales and marketing function and customer liaison with U.S. based hospitals and research institutes.
About the role
- Newly created position for expanding business
- Deliver a range of financial management and compliance services
- Management and/or assistance with contracts and other administrative and financial documentation
- Work closely with a top tier accounting firm as the company's virtual CFO and bookkeeper to deliver statutory obligations, budgeting and forecasting, taxation, filings, reconciliation, payroll, employment benefits, accounts payable, financial planning, systems and controls, banking
- Management and/or assistance to vCFO with statutory returns, lodgements, relevant grants, and audit

Skills and experience
- CPA/CA qualification
- 5 years' experience in the Finance sector with a strong practical background in accounting and finance
- Exposure to Xero accounting software
- High level of computer and technological proficiency required
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and staff to deliver required outcomes
- Ability to change and improve process and procedures to create efficiencies in the finance function and the broader business
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining control

You will possess a highly communicative style, be driven and proactive, with a genuine ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while also providing sound commercial and financial advice.
