Our Client

Our client is a successful family owned Agricultural business supplying superior quality produce to major Australian supermarkets, wholesalers and interstate markets. Located in Clyde they have an outstanding and diverse culture which reflects their strong commitment to their staff and customers.

Due to continued success and growth an excellent opportunity has become available for a bright, energetic and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer in a permanent position.

The Role

We are seeking a talented individual responsible for managing the company’s payroll and financial records along with assisting their Managing Directors with administration duties as required.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of accounts payable/receivable
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Sales invoicing
  • Management of cash flow and reporting of accounts/financial statements
  • Payroll (processing in accordance with Fair Work, Australian Taxation Department, Superannuation and Employment Legislation Awards)
  • Management and reconciliation of Workers Compensation payments
  • Liasing with company Accountants
  • All other administrative duties including record keeping, data entry, employee records and filing

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role along with the following skills and experience:

  • Qualifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Proven experience in accounting software (preferably Reckon Accounts & Payroll)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all staff
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets (intermediate/advanced level)
  • Competent in all aspects of bookkeeping.
  • Ability to work automously and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, adaptable and diligent with a positive and friendly attitude.
