About the business and the role

We are seeking a bookkeeper with experience in both management accounting & payroll administration. This is a hands-on role with the day to day functions of the finance department, but also including a range of financial and management accounting responsibilities.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Recording the financial transactions of a business into MYOB
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage all banking duties
  • Follow up outstanding creditors, maintain records and provide reports
  • Preparing and sending invoices
  • Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
  • Processing payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Managing AR/AP accounts
  • Managing company email & phone enquires
  • Provide administration support
  • Filing and organising
  • Report and working alongside the practice manager

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in MYOB & Excel
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Well-developed analytical skills and experience in financial analysis, auditing, financial reporting and financial systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team leadership experience
