Our client requires a commercially astute, qualified accountant to join the ranks of this large organisation on the outskirts of Melbourne's CBD.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, with a dotted line to the CFO, you'll become a figured-head in the oversight of commercial and strategic initiatives across the business.
Your Duties
Engaging with revenue-focused business units such as sales and marketing & merchandising, as well as legal, supply chain and IT, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing accurate, timely and insightful analysis of financial results to leadership and management teams
- Coordinating and developing budgets/forecasts, including subsequent analysis, to understand key drivers, trends and performances
- Identifying areas to create value for both company and & customer, i.e, improving profitability and/or increase efficiency across sales categories, or identifying process improvement opportunities across supply chain
- Preparing, overseeing and managing high-level cash flow forecasts
- Supporting the preparation of business cases and presentations on strategic projects as required
The Individual
This position is a 6 month contract, ideally to start by August. You should be immediately available or coming out of another contract. There is a possibility this position will become extended or made permanent for the right candidate.
In terms of background, FMCG or Retail experience is preferred but not required.
- You should be CA or CPA qualified
- Coming from Big4 or mid-tier a preferred model
- 4 + years experience in commercial accounting
- Your background should have a track record of
- improving efficiencies across business performance,
- driving revenue forecasts and trends,
- managing key stakeholders across a large organisation.
