Global education provider on the lookout for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the business on an initial 12 month maternity leave vacancy.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and preparation of relevant reconciliations. You will prepare consolidated financial reports including cashflow statements for group reporting. 

In addition you will assist the Finance Manager with year-end financial reporting and the audit process. You will perform monthly reconciliations for the offshore office, review and follow up customer receipts for the offshore office and prepare monthly aged trial balance for relevant stakeholders.

Finally you will prepare GST returns and other taxation reports for the offshore office. You will also be required to review and process commissions and AP invoices to ensure that the invoices are in compliance with company's policies.

To be considered for this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in financial accounting and reporting, incorporating local and overseas entities. Previous experience working with a large ERP system such as Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle will be highly regarded. Previous experience in year-end reporting, fixed asset accounting, cash flow statement preparation and managing the audit process will be highly regarded. You will be an articulate communicator and have the ability to liaise with all levels of management.
