The Client
My client is a well known brand in the Financial Services space that partners with some of the biggest corporate organisations world-wide. This is a sensational opportunity to join the company at an exciting time of growth and make this role your own.
The Role
This is a full function accounting role where you can utilise all the skills you have learned in your studies, plus gain new skills under the tutelage of a seasoned Finance Manger. You will operate as a full function Financial Accountant, where you will contribute to the various regulatory compliance, supporting the Finance Manager and business. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Quarterly and Annual GAAP accounts
- Have full ownership of the AP/AR operation for Australia
- Production of Financial Statements
- Monthly reporting for local taxes
- Cash flow forecasting
- Production of APRA forms and submissions
- Statutory reporting where required
- Ad Hoc projects as the business grows
The Candidate
The successful applicant for this role will meet most, if not all of the following criteria:
- Part or fully CA/CPA qualified
- Demonstrable history of AP/AR in a previous role
- Understanding of local regulatory requirements
- Insurance industry experience is desirable
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of process improvement
- Strong attention to detail
