We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and energetic senior accountant to further their career by making this role their own. You will work directly with the two directors and be mentored in all aspects of the accounting profession, technical and non-technical. You need to be a confident self-starter with a passion for technology.
To suit this role it's mandatory that you are looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive environment that encourages your continual personal and professional development. We are a very successful firm with both directors less than 40.
We are more interested in finding the right person and helping them to continue to develop their skills, rather than finding a person just for their skills alone. Minimum skills and experience
- Chartered Accountant (or working towards)
- Energetic, friendly and honest approach to all things
- A sense of humour (accounting can be dull but we don't have to be)
- Advanced professional writing skills with proper grammar
- Excellent general computer skills and adopter of new technologies
- Experience with Xero and MYOB
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- At least 5 years experience dealing directly with business clients
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for businesses
- Experience preparing budgets and management reports
