Apply your strength in supervision, checking, audit and payroll compliance to succeed here! Support a team of 4 high-calibre payroll officers to authorise pays for 3 separate payrolls, across 3,000 employees.
Pitch-in to assist processing as required, complete manual adjustments, manage escalated queries, support/improve payroll system functionality, ensure PAYG, Payroll Tax & Superannuation requirements are met.

Description
Reporting to the National Payroll Manager (based in Perth), you will be responsible for:
- Supporting 4 payroll officers to process pays for 3,000 + casual employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis
- Checking, adjusting and approving pays across 3 payrolls & 2 pay cycles
- Pitching in to process pays as required, against workload and special deadlines
- Managing tax and compliance functions
- Ensuring best-use of payroll system - PayGlobal - supporting the team to solve any system issues
- Managing escalated payroll issues and enquiries
- Reporting and EOM/EOY functions
Profile
To be considered for and successful in this role you will:
- Come with demonstrated experience managing a high-volume payroll function (2,000 + employees), end-to-end
- Not necessarily require 'people management' experience - this is more about managing the payroll process/processing, not the people involved in it
- Be able to demonstrate your skills in checking and auditing pays, and completing manual adjustments
- Have experience using PayGlobal, ideally quite recently - PayGlobal gurus should definitely apply!
- Enjoy both the front and back-end of payroll from a systems perspective
- Not mind getting down in the detail and processing pays yourself, as required
- Have a strong customer-service mindset
