This exciting and newly created opportunity for a Financial Accounting Lead is with a global market-leading business based in Sydney’s CBD. You will gain exposure to broad operational and commercial areas of the business in this business partnering role, working closely with high-calibre Operational and Finance leads across the Asia Pacific region, including impressive CFO and Financial Controller. You will lead a team and be exposed to key external stakeholders where you will be able to showcase your technical strengths.
This role will appeal to a bright, driven and proactive individual who wants to own and drive the Financial Accounting stream within the business. Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will be:
- A technically strong accountant, either currently at the Manager level within Big 4 or 2nd tier firm OR have significant experience within Senior Financial Accounting roles in the commercial world, with in-depth understanding of latest accounting standards
- Degree (business, accounting or finance) and CA qualified
- Staff management experience
- Experienced in running audit process and managing SOX compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and commercial and collaborative mindset
- Confident to build relationships, ask questions and challenge assumptions when needed; driven, proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable taking the lead
- Advanced Excel skills
