Job tasks and responsibilities

Working as an integral part of the finance team and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will possess exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a positive and professional attitude towards your peers, leaders and the broader business. This position will see you utilise your existing exposure as an  Accountant within a medium business, duties will include:

• Oversee the Accounts receivable & Accounts payable functions 
• Assistance in the monthly management reports including commentary on variances
• Completion of G/L reconciliations
• Dealing with accruals and pre-payments
• Monthly and year-end reporting and compliance in liaison with the Senior Accountant & Group Financial Controler
• Assisting with Budget preparation and forecasting.
• Assistance with audit and statutory requirements
• Management of the fixed assets register
• Ad hoc project work and involvement in the continuous improvement process

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will be Degree Qualified and ideally working towards their CPA /CA status. You will have exposure to transactional accounting as well and as month end processes. The ability to take on higher level duties is essential

You will need to have advanced Excel skills, exposure to using large ERP Systems, a positive approach, excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude will be highly regarded.
