Senior Audit Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Audit Accountant to work on a variety of clients in the not-for-profit sector. Reporting to a Partner, you will also have direct responsibility for jobs and project manage various audit engagements including supervising junior professional audit staff members.

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:

• 4-6 years experience in audit ideally in Australia in a recognised chartered accounting firm with exposure to the not-for-profit sector (Big 4 preferred);
• Post graduate qualifications (ideally completed or partly completed CA or CPA);
• Excellent computer skills and literacy;
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to deal confidently with clients and other stakeholders;
• Have an excellent understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB’s) and Australian Auditing Standards and legislation
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment;
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude;
• Highly motivated self starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). Knowledge of Caseware will be preferred;
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
