Your new company
Our client is an international software company located in the heart of North Sydney. Due to internal changes, they are now looking to bring on an Assistant Accountant into their team. The organisation has an excellent company culture, with a work hard/play hard mentality and social events.
Your new role
This job is a 12 month contract with the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate. You will be working under the Finance Manager, who has a keen interest in employee development and mentorship. She is looking for someone who can be her 2IC and be responsible for:
- Accruals & prepayments
- Service breakdowns - revenue analysis, revenue report
- Credit card reconciliations
- Reconciling general ledger accounts to the US
- Profit & loss
- Variance analysis
- Analysis and reporting
- Ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
You will be hard working, motivated, keen to learn and be able to think outside the box. The finance manager is happy to train and guide you but you need to take initiate and be confident in yourself. You will have local experience within a similar position and exposure to ERP systems. You will also possess:
- Strong Excel skills
- The ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Australian citizenship or PR
