About the role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your career, working closely with Senior Management, the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee, you will own, grow, lead and influence our Internal Audit program. In this role, we can offer that opportunity to work in an agile and welcoming team environment excited about moving from a private entity to an ASX 100 listed environment. You will add value and improve our operations by bringing an innovative, targeted and dynamic approach to the effectiveness of risk management, controls, and governance processes. You will have experience running company-wide internal audit plans, and be familiar with recent trends, tools and solutions to delivering internal audit services. Recent experience or training at a big four accounting firm will be favoured. You will perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management process and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance. In this role you will report to Senior Management, and to the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, whom you will work closely with to develop and deliver the function. In this role, you will design / determine the internal audit scope, and develop and deliver annual plans. You will work with external service providers to deliver and report on audits, and manage outcomes of audit projects, ensuring comprehensive follow-up of audit outcomes and engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
About you
Having a background as an Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor, you will have the ability to understand and process a wide range of data and have experience in compiling detailed reports. You will have proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations. You will have a high attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and have confidence and experience in providing sound independent judgement. You will be Chartered with Accounting or Finance qualifications.
