Our client is a large financial institution, looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their payroll team for a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility of an extension/perm. This role will be stand alone, reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager. The right candidate will have proven payroll experience of minimum 5 years.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full function standalone payroll
• Understanding, interpreting and applying relevant legislation across different states, including EBAs and Awards
• Processing new starters, terminations, redundancies, retirements and resignations
• Calculation of payroll tax and superannuation
• STP Implementation (50% of the role)
• Making sure GL is in order and processes are in place
• Responding to staff queries
• Building and maintaining internal and external relationships
• Any ad hoc duties to assist with the project that will be running in the background

Skills & Experience:

• 4-5 years experience in a corporate organisation with 5000-8000+ employees
• Experience working with a large ERP systems i.e. SAP, Oracle
• Solid knowledge of Governance, Payroll tax and legislation
• Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and adhere to strict deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible and co-operative multi-functional team environment
• Excellent analytical ability
