Our client is a market leader in the Healthcare industry. They have established their presence over the past decade and created a name for providing a tailored service in line with the needs of their patients. The goal across the organisation is to provide excellent service, superior clinical aid and to continue to make a significant impact to the lives of many. The Payroll Officer will be employed on an initial 6-month assignment and will be tasked with the following.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full function payroll for 2000+ employees
• Manage risk and actively work towards implementing risk reduction strategies
• Work closely with the human resources department, accounting managers, and other positions that oversee finances.
• Work with Finance to ensure month-end and payroll reconciliations are completed and signed off.
• Provide assistance with review and investigation of any errors or potential for errors in relations to wages, payroll operations, superannuation, leave accruals, terminations and all payroll related issues.

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in payroll
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Chris21 essential
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
• The ability to handle a high level of pressure and work to tight deadlines
• The ability to be diplomatic and helpful when answering telephone queries
• The ability to manually calculate wages when necessary, including annual leave, long service leave and terminations
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
