Senior Financial Accountant | ASX listed Fintech / CBD

The Role: 
 
As a member of the Group's head office finance team this role exists to support the integrity of the general ledger, provide product accounting support for the leasing business and perform other ad hoc finance tasks.
 
Key Accountabilities
 

• Month end processes (accruals / prepayments / reclasses)
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations and adjustment journals
• Analysis of opex assessing adequacy of accruals, assessing performance against budget and working with Finance and Business partners to manage opex
• Monitoring and reconciling of intercompany accounts
• Sales team support through preparation of Marketing/Sales rebates, journals, and reporting
• Review and maintain fixed assets
• Oversee project accounting
• Supporting tax team with finance related activities
• Support Treasury accounting processes
• Support semi-annual and annual statutory reporting requirements
• Ad hoc analysis

 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
 

• CPA / CA qualified or towards.
• A minimum of 3 years financial accounting experience within the commercial sector.
• Exposure to Financial Services environment an added advantage.
• Strong accounting software systems experience. Exposure to Oracle reporting system experience an advantage
