The Company
Our client is leading Australian Law Firm with a global footprint and an appetite for personal development. Currently embarking on a period of growth, they're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team, based in Melbourne's bustling CBD. Working within the finance function, the payroll team (of 4) works in unison with the HR function delivering a number of payroll process improvement initiatives nationally.
The Opportunity
This key role is responsible for ensuring that the end to that reporting, lodgements and all third party and statutory payments are compliant and made in a timely manner to ensure we are in line with legislation, applicable retail award's & agreements and company policies.
The role will include:
- Delivering a timely and accurate payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis
- Full function end to end responsibility within a team environment
- Manage the delivery of effective payroll operations on a fortnightly basis.
- Assist with the preparation of month and year end reports.
- Assist with answering complex queries from a range of different employees via phone and email.
- Process new starters, terminations and redundancies.
- Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Project support and process improvement responsibility
- Providing technical and payroll support for Work Cover and Return to Work.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in end to end payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, an understanding of Retail EBAs and experience. You will have proven communication skills and proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.
