We are currently seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Finance & Strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for managing and providing all accounting, audit and reporting activities as well as providing financial management and decision support to the business unit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes internal journals for Corporate business units;
• Completes fortnightly payroll journals;
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations;
• Preparation of quarterly financial statements and audit files, including providing technical accounting assistance to the Senior Accountant and GMF and prepares and coordinates the processing of accounting journals;
• Consolidation and reporting of monthly results
• Undertakes analysis of financial accounts as required;
• Assists with the development of budget forecasts;
• Assists with monthly variance analysis of budget to actuals;
• Provides a centre of expertise for JD Edwards and Corvu knowledge for the company;

You will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. It is expected you can interact openly across operational areas and demonstrate strong teamwork.

You will have good analytical skills, proven experience in a similar role and be able to work as a team in a busy environment. Your tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business would have given you the necessary training for the role.  Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Suite, Excel (advanced level), and also experience using the following software packages: Experience with JD Edwards will be highly regarded. A good working understanding of the mining/contracting industry is preferred but not essential.
