Nuchev is a fast-growing Australian company focused on producing ‘food for a better life’ through our goat infant formula range – Oli6. With increasing awareness of the benefits of goat’s milk, Oli6 has seen significant growth in Australia and China, with exciting opportunities for the future.
We are now seeking a mandarin speaking assistant accountant / bookkeeper to join our St Kilda Rd based finance and admin team. The role offers a small supportive team, diverse range of tasks, personal development and the opportunity to contribute to an emerging substantial business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Bookkeeping and accounting functions spanning Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Banking
- Preparation of month-end / year-end reconciliations and reports
- Analyse and assist with actuals, forecasts and variance reporting
- Assist with planning, review and implementation of financial / admin processes and procedures
- Various administration duties including cross office liaison (Australian and Shanghai based offices) and cross functional liaison (Sales and Commercial, Supply Chain)
- Provide support to the finance department with ad-hoc tasks as required
Role requirements:
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (verbal and written) mandatory
- +2 years experience in accounting and / or bookkeeping in Australia
- A relevant qualification - tertiary degree or certificate in accounting or business
- Demonstrated expertise in IT including accounting systems (preferably MYOB Exo) and Microsoft full suite
- Well-developed inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across Australia and China
- Diligent with a strong record of achieving financial deadlines, attention to detail and exceptional data entry accuracy
- Australian citizenship or permanent residents only
