About the Role

A number of exciting permanent opportunities have emerged for Senior Analysts within Group Audit to support the planning, execution, and reporting of Audit activity as set out in the Audit Charter and the annual Audit Plan.

Role recruitment for these positions will focus on ensuring the Internal Audit team has diverse and strong capabilities across the three areas of focus:

  • Experienced Internal Auditors with financial services experience
  • Experienced and autonomous Internal Auditors with strong IT audit testing capability
  • Autonomous, capable and risk focused individuals with experience in the analysis of large and complex datasets to provide valuable insight back into the team

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and project manage delivery of audits within agreed resource and time budgets.
  • Identification of trends and interpret / analyse / communicate insights from large data sets to support the delivery and execution of audits
  • Draft succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope.
  • Efficient delivery of quality audit workpapers, including walkthroughs, control identification, control design assessments and control operating effectiveness testing.
  • Draft succinct and clear audit reports and socialise findings with senior leaders.
  • Efficient verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicate issues are complete.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote a performance and development culture.
  • Form effective working relationships with business contacts during audits so information can be gathered and facts verified, and escalate delivery problems where they cannot be directly solved.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous and complex environment and have:

  • Ability to engage and communicate with influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated in-depth experience in an internal audit / risk management role including experience leading assignments
  • Previous data analytics experience within the Banking or Consumer Wealth industry with specific ability to analyse data and provide valuable insight

Knowledge and ability to practice Agile methodologies in the delivery of audits is desired but not essential. Previous experience with Tableau Server (or similar applications) advantageous.
