The Role
This newly created role is a hands-on all-round position that will use a variety of your accounting skills. You will join a finance team of four and report to a highly skilled manager who enjoys mentoring and developing her team. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ownership of the month end process for review. P&L and Balance sheet preparation, including prepayments, accruals and journals.
- Payroll processing to cover the NSW and QLD offices
- Assisting the FP&A Manager with budgeting and forecasting tasks
- Ad hoc analysis and projects for the US parent
- Revenue Recognition
- Assisting with Statutory reporting
- Ownership of the debtors ledger
This is quite a broad accounting role that will offers the successful candidate some challenges and variety in their daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks.
Your Background
To be considered for this role you must be eager to learn and advance your career. You must have been heavily involved in the month end close. It is also essential you finished or are very close to completion for your CA or CPA qualification.
In person, you are enthusiastic, like to take initiative and have excellent communication skills. You will need to be confident to speak to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, including the international offices.
