About the business and the role

Camera House is Australia's largest photographic retailer, with 63 stores nationwide. Our Head Office is looking for a confident and professional Accounts Payable Officer to join our small but efficient and dynamic office.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Entering stock and non-stock invoices on a daily basis
• Reconciliation of stock invoices to Purchase Orders
• Raise claims against creditors for any overcharges, short shipments etc
• Perform payment runs and upload to the bank for authorisation
• Answer and respond to all payment queries from suppliers
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Download corporate credit card statements, collect receipts and prepare payment
• Process international creditor payments, including customs duty, GST and freight charges
• Coding of Non-Stock invoices and cross charging when required
• Filing supplier payments and invoices
• Assist with the year-end external audit relating to trade creditors
• Provide assistance to the financial accounting team as required

Skills and experience

To be successful you will have:

• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
• Strong communication skills (face to face, written and telephone)
• Previous Accounts Payable experience
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Flexible, adaptable and reliable with the ability to work well under pressure
• Team player
• Willingness to learn
• Prior experience with Pronto an advantage
