About the Role
Due to continual growth an exciting new position has become available for an experienced Financial Controller. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the Company’s core finance functions located in the Philippines. This role will be responsible for detailed processes and controls to ensure that all financial reporting deliverables are met.
To be successful in this role you will be ‘hands-on’ in managing and driving the month end process, along with the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with accounting standards and preparation of budgets/forecasts.
  
We are seeking a self-motivated CA/CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, team management and an ability to work autonomously. Solution orientated with impeccable attention to detail, you will have well-honed communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to advise and influence at a senior level. 
  
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Team Leadership, providing support to the Board and Leadership Team
  • Budgets and Reports; Audits (Internal), overseeing Policies & Procedures of all finance functions, Insurances and Fixed Assets.
  • Mission critical and ad hoc duties including cash flow & budgeting, management & board reporting, taking ownership of an upcoming systems implementation with subsequent process improvements, ad hoc analysis through transactions or processes & investigative analysis during expansion to new countries.
  • Working closely with the CEO you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial control of the business.
  • Budgeting, planning and forecasting for the business units
  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting is timely and accurate
  • Monthly consolidation of global financials including Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and USA
  • Providing commentary to the Global Board around the business through data analysis
  • Managing costs within the businesses to make improvements to the bottom line
  • Interacting with all stakeholders within the business both internal and external to understand cost responsibilities
  • Negotiating budgets
  • Innovating and evolving the existing financial processes
  • Managing a small team in the finance department; mentoring, setting strategy and execution
To be successful for this role you must have the following:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance management role
  • Professional Membership (e.g. Certified Practicing Accountants or Chartered Accountants)
  • Experience in process and systems improvement
  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organisation skills with the ability to lead a team effectively through change and bed down new processes
  • Experience in NetSuite is preferred
  • Experience with foreign currency and inventory in multiple warehouses is essential
  • Previous experience in the import, trading or distribution environments will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with a global team, a few times per month early morning or late evening conference calls will be required as you liaise and collaborate with the Global Team based in USA and UK
