A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team in our head office. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Global Corporate Accountant will be responsible for reporting accurate financial performance and generation of reports for the Consolidated Group including the preparation of statutory accounts. The role shall also provide financial analysis and planning support for the global regions.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Timely and accurate completion of all weekly, month end and year end reporting and processes for the consolidated group, including input and reconciliation of relevant financial reporting systems and deliver of group consolidated results to the Group Financial Controller.
  • Review general ledger for Australian subsidiaries and overseas subsidiaries
  • Ensure that the group’s Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled and attended to on a monthly basis
  • Process and reconcile weekly and monthly payroll, including journal entries and relevant balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with managing the statutory review at half year and full year audit and preparing the statutory financial accounts including 4D and annual report
  • Liaise with auditors and co-ordinate the planning of half year and end of year audit with regions
  • Prepare monthly historical cash flow report for the group
  • Responsible for the lodgement of GST and FBT returns for the Australian entities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5 + years of experience in a similar role
  • CA/CPA qualifications
  • Extensive experience with statutory accounts & consolidations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Income Tax, GST, FBT
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of ASX listed compliance would be considered advantageous
  • Previous experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded   
  • Previous experience working with foreign currencies and Integrated ERP systems would be a distinct advantage
