The Opportunity

This is a rare chance for a CA/CPA qualified candidate to join a nationally-renown manufacturing business located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. With a rich history and a strong reputation, this company has expanded with many sites around Australia, a leader in its sector. This is an excellent chance to use your analytical skills as a Plant Controller - Senior Commercial and Planning position, focusing on business partnering with the broader management team in an end to end, hands-on role. 

The Challenge

As a Business Partner to the Plant Manager, you will have responsibility for the commercial analysis and financial control of a $30m site within a broader Australian business.

This position reports to the Head of Commercial Finance but will also have a dotted line to the Group CFO.

Specifically your responsibilities will include: 

• Analysing the operating performance using current and forecasted data
• Generating budget models and financials
• Preparing CAPEX and OPEX for site proposals, carry out post implementation reviews as required
• Reviewing and implementing site governance standards
• Leading process improvement strategies across both operational and financial procedures

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Manufacturing experience: On-site / at plant
• CA/CPA qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational commercial role
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Capability of thriving in an autonomous environment
