Located in Western Sydney near the Blacktown area is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant looking to secure a fixed term contract.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Finance Manager some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Timely and accurate preparation of high quality financial analysis and reporting – reports include cost centre, grant acquittals, grant and tender forecasting etc
- Preparation of tax returns (BAS & GST)
- Weekly cash flow forecasting
- Cash management
- Analysis of expenditure, supplier arrangements, fee revenue and business proposals & projects
- Month end reporting
- Liaising with external auditors
- Working closely with Senior Management with any ad-hoc duty as requested
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience within a similar position – you are the type of person that lives and breaths accounting and you have a mix of financial and management accounting experience
- The confidence to work with high volumes of data, consolidating from multiple sources
- The kind of personality that wants to get in and get the job done – you loving working within a team yet you’re also someone who is self-managed
- Experience within the Not for Profit sector is definitely an advantage
- The availability to commence ASAP and commit for a minimum of 6 months
