The Role

Due to business growth we require an additional assistant accountant to join our Finance team based in Pymble.  The ideal candidate is degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years industry or firm experience and looking to progress to a financial accounting role.  Reporting to the Finance and Admin Manager you will gain valuable industry experience working within a dynamic software services company. 

Responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliation of all banks
• Daily sales report maintenance and distribution
• Assist in preparation of monthly accounts
• Assist in accounts payable, including batch payment preparation and payment.
• Investigation of purchase order variance for major suppliers.
• Inventory control for hardware division
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Interco reconciliations
• Assist with tax compliance preparation, including BAS, PAYG, and FBT.
• Liaise with GMs on management information and reporting
• Fixed Assets
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by management

Key Skills and Attributes:

• A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in an industry or firm (audit preferred).
• Strong Excel skills
• SAGE experience preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and time management
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Able to independently work in a challenging & fast changing environment
