The role
In this role you will be responsible for providing deep trading insights to the business, assisting them in understanding key levers affecting the business’s result.
Your audience is a high profile stakeholder team who will rely on the accuracy of your insights in order to make key commercial decisions.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- a strong commercial and analytical skills to support understanding of key business performance drivers, and raise recommendations on actions required to improve performance
- the ability to distil and effectively communicate complex information to a broad range of audience
- strong data modelling skills with the ability to provide sales insights and analysis
- strong attention to detail
- strong influencing skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- an understanding of retail dynamics and passion for retail
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- drive insightful, forward focussed discussions, recommendations and actions on Supermarkets and Business Unit levels to improve short and medium term trade and highlight potential trading risks
- support Business Unit and Finance leaderships in understanding trade drivers with robust and relevant insights, and detailed deep dive analysis taking into account internal and external variables
- lead preparation of all daily, weekly, periodic projections and discussions on results, with context on short and medium term planned performances for Merchandise
