Large Global Asset Manager with big Sydney Finance team
Senior Accountant with USGAAP & IFRS experience
12 month contract to permanent potential

Our client, a large International Asset Manager, based in the Sydney CBD are looking to recruit a a Financial Accountant to take responsibility for both the Financial & Legal Entity accounting requirements.

In this role the primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements holding assets in the US. Using a breadth of accounting skills you will be required to investigate the integrity of information from the business, deliver timely and accurate financial reports, and offer financial accounting advice to your stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

Primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements holding assets in the US.
End to end responsibility for all general ledger maintenance and financial, management, and statutory reporting.Prepare trial balances for legal entities which include operating properties and cleanse of any historical unreconciled balances in these trial balances.
Preparation of corporate journal entries to record distributions, returns of capital and intercompany loan assignment.
Preparation and submission of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Liaise with and manage relationships with Auditors.

Candidates of interest will be able to demonstrate previous experience within an Investment, Superannuation or custody business where they have performed financial reporting, distribution calculations, tax, unit pricing, and reconciliations.

Experience working within a big 4 CA firm and/or Corporate Accounting experience will be held in high regard. A CA or CPA qualification is preferred, along with a relevant degree in either Commerce or Accounting. No local experience is required, however strong USGAAP and IFRS experience is preferred
