This is a newly created role in a top ASX 200 company, working with a high performing team. Perfect position for a hands-on senior financial accountant.

Client Details

My client is a market leader in education with a large finance team located in the CBD. They are looking for an experienced manager to come in and look after 5 domestic & international entities.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller & Director of Finance, you will be responsible for managing a small team of 3 (2 Assistant Accountants and 1 Financial Accountant). You will be overseeing and (assisting when necessary) with month-end processes including the maintenance of the fixed asset registers, income tax returns, FBT returns, payroll tax returns, and group reporting packages. You will support the Financial Controller and be a business partner with the 5 business units. You will also continuously improve and maintain processes & controls for best practice. You will support your team by assisting, overseeing, and approving all data, reconciliations, and making sure all tasks are done in a timely and efficient manner.

Profile

To be considered for this position, you must be CPA or CA qualified with experience within a large, complex organisation (ASX preferred). You will have managed people before (ideally more than one). You must have attention to detail and enjoy hands-on work. Previous experience dealing with multiple entities will be highly regarded. You must also possess excellent communication skills both written & verbal. You must be a team player with excellent excel and system skills.
