Reporting to the Finance Accounting Manager the Payroll Officer is a crucial member of the finance team. This position offers challenges and variety within the Accounts team in various aspects of the accounting function, covering predominantly payroll processing and associated tasks. There may also be a requirement to assist with accounts payable /receivable tasks on an adhoc basis. The hours are structured around the company’s fortnightly payroll processing schedule and the ideal candidate will work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Fortnightly processing of payroll and associated tasks;
• Ensuring compliance with superannuation and taxation requirements;
• Reconciliation of payroll accounts for end of month reporting requirements;
• Processing of electronic funds transfers; and
• Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

We are looking for someone who has;

• Experience in payroll processing and reconciliations in a medium to large company;
• Demonstrated timely and accurate data entry skills;
• Demonstrated attention to detail;
• Experience in office and administration procedures;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel/Outlook;
• Demonstrated communication/customer service skills - written and verbal; and
• An ability to achieve strict deadlines.
