A reputable business that specialises in the manufacturing of FMCG goods has created opportunity to support the current Accountant. This position will mainly look after accounts receivable, accounts payable and general transactional accounting.
This role has become available due to the increase of workload and they ideally want to secure a new person asap.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a ledger of corporate and small to medium accounts for both accounts payable and receivable
- Bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations
- Monthly, Quarterly reporting
- Lodge the quarterly BAS
- Allocation and daily banking
- Process staff expenses
- Issue of any credits notes and processing of credit notes
- Account application processing and credit checks
- Facilitate the weekly payment run
- Manage the month end closing process
- Ad hoc accounting support
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 5 + years experience within an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk or general accounting position
- Ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Can demonstrate taking ownership and initiative
