About the Company
One of Melbourne's leading Wealth Management firms is looking for a strong Finance Manager/ CFO to join their leadership team. This organisation has an excellent client base, a central location and a brilliant reputation in the market. You won't want to miss out on this opportunity.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for taking on a key leadership role in the financial decision-making of the firm and will provide strategic financial input to senior management.
Whilst overseeing the internal accounting function, the CFO also plays a key role in developing and implementing procedures to improve and maintaining the financial health of the firm.
Responsibilities (are not limited to)
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company
- Manage financial controls and the internal accounting process
- Analyse and interpret financial reporting and provide advice around business activities
- Propose and Manage action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
- Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans and various reports as required in a timely fashion
- Train and Develop other accounting/finance staff
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA or CA qualified
- 10+ years experience in a Senior Financial Managerial position
- High level computer and IT skills
- Ability to sense the need for change and implement measure to achieve these changes.
- A deep understanding of the Asset Management business with experience in MDA's is preferred.
