About the business
We are a fast growing small accounting practice in Box Hill. We provide accounting, taxation and auditing services to small to medium size businesses.
About the role
As the assistant to the principal accountant, you will be involved in the following tasks:
- Preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of tax returns including individual and business tax returns.
- GST, Payroll Tax, Super, Business Activity Statement lodgement
- Auditing tasks
- Occasional admin duties as required by the principal
- liaison with clients, ATO and various other government departments
We have a large Chinese background client base. Therefore, Chinese language skill is a must.

Skills and experience
- Degree in Accounting
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, experience with accounting packages such as MYOB or Xero is an advantage)
- Professionally presented
- Developed time management skills and positive learning attitude
- Chinese language skills
- Experience in similar role is highly valued
- Must have right to work full time in Australia on a permanent basis
