The Goldengrove Building Group is a cutting edge provider of building solutions for residential, multi-residential and specialist development projects along the Eastern Seaboard of Australia with our head office based in Southport on the Gold Coast.

We have an opportunity for an Intermediate level accountant who wants to step up and grow within a highly successful business and to lead a team of dedicated accounting staff towards maximising their potential and contributing to the on going success of the company.

 

This position will have  the following responsibilities:

  • Processing payment runs and summary reports using the Databuild software system;
  • Processing and issuing construction progress claims;
  • Managing Creditor and Debtors;
  • Bank reconciliations and reconciliation of accounts;
  • Dealing with discrepancies and enquiries with suppliers and subcontractors;
  • Other accounting and administration duties as required;
  • Working cohesively with the Group Financial Controller and Group Accountant;

The successful candidate will need to have:-

  • Minimum 5 years accounts experience, preferably within a volume residential building company or related field;
  • A good understanding of accounting practices and procedures and a Diploma level qualification or higher will be expected;
  • Databuild software experience preferred but not essential;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as manage a dynamic and dedicated team;
  • Advanced skills in utilising Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • The ability to prioritise workload, problem solve and time manage;
