About the company
Our client is an instantly recognisable media organisation based in the heart of Sydney. They are known for providing a diverse range of content watched by millions of Australians everyday. Internal promotions are very common and as a result of a recent promotion within the team, a commercial analyst position has arisen.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide support to sales & marketing through offering analysis, insights and recommendations. You will be closely liaising with the heads of business units to assist with key business decisions. Specifically, you will be tasked with the following:
- Delivery of budgeting & forecasting for key business units
- Support the sales division with analysis & reporting, looking at trends & opportunities to maximise revenue growth & reduce costs.
- Development of flash report to track delivery and forecast accuracy and manage potential risk and opportunities.
- Month end responsibilities including journals, pre-payments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Month end reporting, providing insightful commentaries on variances.
- Build strong lasting relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following experience:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with financial analysis & business partnering.
- FMCG/Pharma/Retail industry experience is preferred but not essential
