Doutta Galla Aged Services is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to the provision of high quality and responsive residential care services in seven locations across Western Metropolitan Melbourne and one location in regional Victoria.
We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our organisation. Working Monday to Friday, this is a permanent position focused on Payroll and Accounts Receivable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly billing for all residents in the nominated portfolio
- Facilitate the timely collection of fees from residents or their nominated representatives and manage the aged debtors in an efficient manner
- Accurately maintain all relevant records for residents including Refundable Accommodation Bonds, Unit Lease Sales and all other associated income
- Assist with the processing of payroll on a fortnightly basis and assist with payroll queries as required
- Maintain staff employment records
- Process details related to new employees and variations to employment details
To be considered for this role you will have experience working in a similar position in Aged Care and a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Finance Officer role or other similar role in a medium to large sized organisation where you were able to demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting controls and procedures with accurate data entry skills. You will possess a strong working knowledge and have experience in Microsoft Office Packages and computerised accounting systems/ software.
Ideally you will hold formal qualifications in bookkeeping or a related discipline. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible to work in Aged Care under the Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth) and must also hold a current Driver's Licence (full or probationary).
