Allan Hall Business Advisors is currently seeking a dynamic and capable accountant to specialise in SMSF accounting, in our superannuation team. You must be passionate about growing a career in SMSF accounting.

The Firm:

Allan Hall Business Advisors is a chartered accounting firm, offering a vibrant working environment and a passionate, knowledgeable team of close to 90 staff and 8 partners. The Firm’s head office is based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and this position will be based in the Firm’s Brisbane office, located in Murarrie.

We have a dedicated SMSF team who currently manage a growing list of around 500 Self Managed Super Fund clients of varying complexity.

Your role will include:
  • Preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for SMSFs through to audit review and finalisation
  • Supporting with compliance documents preparation
  • Client management, including ensuring obligations are delivered at a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Liaising with clients and advisors on technical matters
  • Project tasks associated with the new rules regime
  
Background and Qualifications:
  • A minimum 1 year of Australian experience in relation to self managed super funds
  • Experienced with Class Super
  • Competent superannuation technical knowledge
  • Familiarity with AFSL policy and procedure
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar

  • Good analytical skills
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel and a range or accounting systems, ideally MYOB, Viztopia and AE Tax
  • A desire to learn in a challenging, relaxed yet professional environment
