Client:

My client is a membership based organisation based in the bustling CBD. They now have a superb opportunity for a tech savvy, experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join the team on a PART TIME basis.

Reporting to the Executive Officer you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including finance, admin and social media, so having a can do attitude is a real must! This will be an autonomous role so the ideal person will have strong time management and a proactive nature. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and updates membership database (Unison) ; including enrolment of new members and removal of un-financial and resigned members
  • Maintains and updates the organisation’s website
  • Prepares payroll and liaises with auditors to ensure statutory compliance
  • Receives and ensures accuracy of setting up account payments
  • Dispatch subscription invoices and processes subscription payments
  • Prepares an annual budget and track income and expenditure
  • Prepares financial reports for Council meetings along with monthly financial reporting
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems
  • Receive and dispatch requests for merchandise, monitor inventory and liaise with suppliers
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for the Executive team
  • Design and implement a filing system
  • Software maintenance
  • Undertake correspondence with members and service providers and facilitates communication with members
  • Training temporary or new employees in the systems and operations
  • Ad hoc duties where necessary for the wider team
 
Key Skills:
  • Social media savvy
  • Strong communications skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a small office
  • Proven experience in a similar position (min 2 years)
  • Experience working within a membership-based organisation (desirable)
  • Proven experience in XERO and other accounting/banking software
  • Experience with Unison or other union membership databases (desirable)
