Our client is a market leader within the insurance sector who is experiencing an ongoing phase of growth. You will join the group finance team supporting the divisional finance units and delivering the annual consolidated statutory accounts. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collate and consolidate financial information from the various business unit finance teams
- Prepares the statutory reports for the company
- Prepare the quarterly APRA returns
- Post consolidation entries on a monthly basis
- Review the group financials and liaise with the FP&A team regarding any queries
- Manipulate the data from the GL using Excel cubes
You will be a CA/CPA qualified Financial Accountant and have experience of completing statutory accounting within the insurance industry. Your ability in excel will be advanced, working with large amounts of data and utilising cubes and pivot tables. You will have an understanding of the process of consolidation with a multi-divisional structure and APRA returns. You will have a good knowledge of relevant accounting standards and ability to interpret and apply them. Moreover, you will have a proactive approach and be flexible to work in an environment of growth and change.
