Our client, a global Japanese company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their office in their Sydney office. This will be a standalone role responsible for managing the day to day accounting process as well as overseeing administration activities.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Lead and manage the accounting functions of their Australian operations
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports
- Administer the company's banking activities
- Manage yearly and monthly financial reporting
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organisation are met
- Prepare company tax returns
- Work with external auditors on annual audit as well as quarterly reviews
- Drive process and efficiency improvements and oversea office administration
- To attend to any ad-hoc tasks as required.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and strengths:
- Previous experience in a similar position will be highly regarded
- CPA or CA qualified professional preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders is essential
- Team player
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks at same time
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrate flexibility/ adaptability to work in a busy environment
