About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant within Regulatory reporting to join our Banking & Wealth Financial Control team which provides end to end financial control, financial reporting and APRA reporting for the Suncorp Banking Entity activities
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and review the delivery of accurate and timely Suncorp Bank entities regulatory reporting
- Recognising the significant regulatory reporting impost on the group, lead the Regulatory reporting teams to work proactively with the Banking and TDL/CDO teams in initiatives to re-engineer the regulatory reporting process to make it sustainable and timely
- Pro-actively develop and drive the adoption of changes in process required when regulatory reporting changes (eg EFS) are implemented and ensuring that advanced accreditation requirements are met when required ( eg advanced APS 330)
- Liaise across the Suncorp Finance and Advice community and Bank business to provide advice and support to ensure strong regulatory reporting controls are maintained
- Champion a documentation and risk focused mindset within the Banking Regulatory reporting team
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of financial reporting experience post CA or CPA qualification (mandatory)
- Experience in providing financial or regulatory reporting within a Bank organisation (mandatory)
- Experience in working with outsourced partners and geographically diverse teams. (Desirable)
- Previous advisory experience (Desirable)Strong computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy/advanced numeracy skills
- Strong internal customer service focus and ability to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
