The Organisation:
This well respected  and results focused global services organisation is currently recruiting for a  Financial Accountant.  This opportunity has come about due to a long term and highly respected staff member's resignation.  This is an ideal opportunity if you are career driven and looking to work in a high performing organisation supported by a strong management team with a clear vision.  As a business with a strong revenue base and committed contracts, this is an opportunity that will position you well in regards to ongoing career growth. 

The Position:
This position will require you to apply your technical accounting expertise as you take on responsibility for the group reporting into the overseas head office. You will be responsible for all statutory reporting and tax. You will manage the month end process including journals, balance sheet reconciliation and P&L analysis through to cash flow forecasting.  You will have direct management responsibility for the accounts payable team. 

Outside of the day to fay financial accounting, this is a broad role that will allow you to manage several process improvement projects.  Your P&L analysis skills will play a key role in improving margins, minimising costs and supporting the operations side of the business more effectively. 

Your Profile:
This role will provide you with direct exposure to an experienced and high performing team.  As such, to truly succeed and thrive in this busy role, you will need to be disciplined, focused and results driven! Given the strong technical elements of the role, it will be highly advantageous if you are coming from a Big 4 background or have well developed accounting expertise.  

You may be looking to make your first move into a commercial environment where you can directly and consistently impact the business or you may already have some sound commercial experience you can apply.

As you will be working with a range of stakeholders, you should have excellent communication skills and you will be comfortable interacting with a range of stakeholders across the business. You will need to have the ability to look at the bigger picture and to understand things in context but also able to drill down into the detail. Ideally you will be CA qualified and you should have strong Excel skills. Experience on a large ERP system will be imperative if you are to improve on existing processes and systems.
