Utility Mapping is an innovative company focused on reducing or eliminating risk associated with working around underground services and utilities. We provide the design phase of a project with a comprehensive range of services to accurately locate, identify and survey utilities within a site area to prevent costly and harmful utility strikes and improve the accuracy of designs prior to construction.
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing Melbourne team to provide national support. This is a full-time role position Monday - Friday with flexible start and finish times. The successful candidate will be responsible for the everyday transactional accounting in accordance with Utility Mapping's Policies and Procedures. You will be working closely with the General Manager and all State Managers to maintain accurate and update accounts payable, monthly customer invoicing, monthly bank account reconciliation, payroll, as well as month end journals - just to name a few of your new responsibilities.
To be the successful candidate you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Accounting and have had 5 years' previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role. Candidates will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail, particularly in the area of data entry.
