We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Finance Manager and CFO in the delivery of high quality financial services, including financial and management reporting to support our strategic objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all end of month processing and preparation of financial reports for multiple entities including full reconciliations of balance sheet, profit and loss and payroll accounts
- Prepare business unit reporting
- Prepare the BAS, GST, Stamp Duty, Payroll Tax and FBT returns
- Assist with the provision of advice and support to budget managers and related entities, including the analysis of trends and variances
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the group full year statutory accounts and annual external audit requirements
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of the end to end annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts
- Continuous identification and implementation of process and system improvements
- Involvement in the development and training of junior staff
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in accounting or finance and CPA/CA qualified (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a corporate environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary accounting standards, practices and principles
- Proven experience in the preparation of statutory accounts, intercompany and consolidations (preferable)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Exceptional time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility and initiative to work within a constantly changing environment
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to extract/manipulate data & financial modelling
- ERP accounting systems experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV
