About the Role
A fantastic career opportunity exists for a Tax Accountant who is willing to learn and grow in an environment that offers constant support, guidance and professional development. The role will give you exposure to a variety of tax and accounting services to clients in a broad range of industries as well as business advisory services.
  

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Preparation of income tax returns
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
• Preparation of BAS and GST compliance
• Payroll Tax Reconciliations and attending to payroll
• Bank Statements & reconciling with general ledger entries
• Preparation of financial statements i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree qualified and working towards CA or CPA
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a public practice
• Experience with all types Tax Returns is essential
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MYOB cloud is advantageous
• Experience with tax preparation software MYOB AO and MYOB classic is preferred
• Articulate, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
