FutureYou are exclusively partnering with a leading accounting practice on St Kilda Road (South Melbourne). Due to continued growth in recent years, this firm is looking to add a strong Manager to lead their Business Services division. Working with 4 experienced Partners and 4 young and successful accountants, you will be given full client contact and ownership from day one. The office has a collaborative team environment, and you will benefit from a 'mid-tier' style structured technical and soft skills training programme.
This is a genuine succession plan opportunity into Partnership.
Description
Working as a Business Services Manager, you will be working with a well established client base that demands a lot more than purely tax compliance, and you will be exposed to high-level advisory work from day one.
The duties are not limited to but include;
- Tax compliance for all entities including partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSF
- Preparing financial statements and management reports
- Manage a client portfolio worth over $700k
- 50% value add consulting work for clients
- Fully client facing - attending face to face meetings and liaising over the phone
- Mentor and supervise 3 junior staff in order to fast track their professional development
Profile
In order to be success full in this role, you must have;
- CA/CPA qualification
- 5 + years' experience in an Australian chartered firm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An outgoing, confident nature who will excel in a client facing role
- A keen desire to be involved in advisory work
- Clear commitment to the public practice sector
