The Position
St John of God Health Care has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Shared Services Accounting Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of divisional financial and management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting divisions with budget, forecast, variance and ad hoc analysis. This role will manage between 1 and 4 FTE.
The successful candidate will be a high performer with a sound knowledge of accounting standards and month end processes. Possession of a CPA/CA qualification and an ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines are essential for further consideration.
This position will be offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Degree qualified, together with CA / CPA qualification.
- Hands on experience in delivering month end to tight deadlines and expert knowledge of accounting and finance practices and processes.
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand customer needs to deliver their requirements.
- Management experience, an influential leader with team building and relationship building skills.
- Proven stakeholder management, communication and inter personal skills.
- Strong presentation skills (written and verbal) that can be adapted to suit audience.
- A positive and flexible can do attitude with the ability to handle multiple activities.
- Practical and creative approaches to providing analysis and problem solving.
- An advocate of change with high levels of motivation for self and others.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to extract, understand and use data, analyses management information and provide insight to enable fact based decisions.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to train, coach, mentor and support team members through their development.
