Our Client is a Perth based exploration company that is currently developing projects internationally. They are well funded and have secured highly prospective tenements in the countries they currently operate in.
They are currently looking to engage a Management Accountant to support both their corporate team and their in-country finance teams. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will undertake various management accounting functions and projects and manage the financial budgeting process.
Duties will include:
- On an ongoing basis review the physicals data and report variations and anomalies to management for improvement to operations efficiencies
- On an ongoing basis review, modify and document accounting processes and policies for approval
- Preparing financial data for internal management reporting and key site accounting functions with the ability to look beyond the numbers
- Working with management in budget and forecast preparation and analysis
- Management of audit activities including liaising with external auditors
- Review and documentation of end-to-end processes and procedures
- Other responsibilities will include assisting with the annual budget process and other projects as required.
The successful candidate will be a self-driven, highly organised individual that is able to work within a small corporate team.
Ideally you will have:
- 10+ years’ experience in accounting and project management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, willingness to be flexible and a 'can do' attitude
- Ability to present to the executive team and influence outcomes
- CA or CPA qualification.
