We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Project Finance Officer to join our APAC North Finance team based in our Townsville consulting office. The role will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Business Unit Managers and Project Managers. You will be responsible for financial monitoring, reporting and internal compliance in order to ensure projects are successfully managed and delivered.

In this role you will:

• Maintain the project life cycle including project set up, project maintenance, variation management, and project closure
• Ensure adherence to the contract
• Complete monthly billing and assist with collection activities
• Assist with month end processes particularly around revenue recognition
• Monitor monthly project financial performance and data quality
• Participating in monthly business performance review meetings
• Action any queries coming through relating to project financial performance

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in project accounting or project administration
• Relevant industry experience within engineering, construction or professional services will be highly regarded
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance will be accepted though not essential
• Strong contract management knowledge as well as strong understanding of project costing
• Analytical capability with strengths in identifying and implementing continuous improvement
• Strong client-focused approach
• Previous experience using BST will be highly advantageous
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
